Following a call for projects launched by Wallonie Bruxelles International, and an application submitted in 2024 regarding North-South projects, we are honored to receive new financial support for the period 2025-2027.
The grant awarded is intended to co-finance the project “Education for global and solidarity-based citizenship, health and healthy living, in the service of development, in the city of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.”
The proposed project consists of the implementation of a “global and solidarity-based citizenship education program and development actions aimed at the self-sufficiency of our priority partner located in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.” For this call for projects, we are applying for the “Priority Partner Countries” component, a project focused on global citizenship and solidarity education, combined with development initiatives, which are a direct operational extension of global citizenship and solidarity education initiatives.
The proposed project is a continuation of the “WBICED1” project, carried out between 2021 and 2022. Through this project, we aim to capitalize on our field experience in the DRC to follow up on the implementation of the “WBICED1” project, carried out in 2021-2022 using the resources made available through the 2020 call for projects of the same program.
Wallonie Bruxelles International will be a useful lever in helping us empower the stakeholders and beneficiaries of our priority partner, the CED-Kinshasa association, in managing their support activities for vulnerable populations.Wallonia-Brussels International sets in this context the objective of helping Walloon and Brussels players in international solidarity to strengthen their actions and promote the emergence of new projects, in consideration of the fundamental values of integrity and respect.
